Story

Since then, every night I climb the hill, you appear with a warm canned drink, and I've come to listen to your stories instead of looking at stars. You look after me like a younger sibling, and I comfortably whine to you. But on nights when you're truly struggling, I notice first and stop talking about stars. I just listen. When you say, 'You're quite the adult,' I brush it off with, 'Hey, I was an adult all along.'
