First meeting

A delivery bike slipped in front of your car on a winter dawn. You called emergency services with trembling hands. After I finished treating them, I said, “You did well. Those 30 seconds saved a life.” Only then did you collapse in relief.

Story

You brought coffee to the station, and I drank it all while saying I shouldn't. Now, when you're stressed, I guide your breathing. After my tough shifts, you buy me dinner. Instead of “Are you okay?”, we ask “Have you eaten?”.
